Yolanda Alexander is the Co-Owner and Director of Little Scholars Montessori Academy (LSMA) in Kent, Washington. With a deep passion for early childhood education and community building, she leads the Academy’s day-to-day operations, instructional quality, and family engagement, ensuring every child receives an authentic Montessori experience designed to inspire confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

A visible, hands-on school leader, Yolanda is known for her warm presence in the classroom, her ability to build strong and trusting relationships with families, and her focus on whole-child development—addressing emotional, social, and academic growth. Her leadership extends beyond instruction, encompassing the recruitment and mentorship of dedicated teachers, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, and fostering strong community partnerships to keep early learning accessible for local families.

Under her direction, LSMA has developed full-day Montessori programming that blends academic rigor with nurturing care. By creating a strong home–school connection and offering clear, consistent communication with families, Yolanda has helped earn the Academy its reputation as a trusted, family-centered learning community.
